Pharmacological action :
- On the heart : This is considered the first strong stimulus for the heart muscle, especially systolic, not diastolic, by increasing the output, for example, 150/70 . It is classified as a severe heart-affecting drug, so it is contraindicated for heart patients .
- On the blood vessels : It is a vasodilator of the arteries that contain beta-2 receptors .
- On lung : It is a very potent bronchodilator used in crisis situations when it binds to beta-2 receptors .
Uses :
- It is used only as an alternative in the event that special medications have not benefited the patient in cases of poor blood delivery between the atrium and the ventricle inside the heart.
- Its medical uses are somewhat few .
- When this medicine is given to diabetic patients, the dose of insulin must be increased so that hypoglycemia does not occur .
Side effect :
cardiac arrhythmias , pulmonary edema , headache , anxiety .
dobutamine :
pharmacological action :
It is used specifically on beta 1 receptors, so it will not
affect the blood vessels that contain alpha receptors, it will increase the
cardiac effort mainly .
Uses :
It is used in cases of weak heart and acute bradycardia, as
it increases the output of blood entering and pumping from the heart. For example, someone stopped his heart during
a surgical operation by giving it to him, so it is considered to have a quick
effect .
Side effect :
Hyperactivity and
lack of sleep, insomnia, anxiety, headache, tachycardia, continued expansion of
the airways leading to pulmonary edema.
Precaution :
You should be careful not to give the drug to
people who have a relaxation of the heart muscle and there is no emptying of
the blood inside the heart because dobutamine already increases the relaxation
of the heart muscle, so I will have a double effect and an increase in side
effects.
It is not used in the
long term due to its tolerance .
